Follow these steps
Input Rhythmic Steps
Left-click the grey or red boxes (steps) to trigger a sound at that time. Each horizontal row represents one instrument or sample in your project.
Add and Swap Sounds
Drag new samples from the Browser directly onto an existing channel to replace it, or below the list to add a new instrument. This expands your sound palette.
Switch Between Patterns
Use the 'Target Plate' at the top of the Channel Rack to switch between different patterns. This allows you to create variations like an Intro, Verse, or Chorus.
Use Quick Shortcuts
Right-click any channel button to access the 'Fill each 4 steps' shortcut. This is a fast way to generate a basic hi-hat or kick rhythm instantly.
Common mistakes
- Accidentally right-clicking and deleting steps when you meant to add them.
- Forgetting that each 'Pattern' can hold multiple instruments simultaneously in the Channel Rack.
