How to Pan and Create Stereo Width in FL Studio

Follow these steps
Balance the Stereo Field
Use the round Pan knob at the top of each Mixer track. Turn it left or right to move instruments away from the center.
Use Traditional Panning Logic
Keep your Kick, Snare, Bass, and Lead Vocals in the center. Pan guitars, hats, and backing vocals to the sides to create a 'V' shape.
Adjust Stereo Separation
Use the Stereo Separation knob (the small knob below the Pan knob) on a Mixer track. Turning it left increases stereo width; turning it right makes it mono.
Apply Short Delays for Width
Add the 'Fruity Delay 3' and set the time to a very short value (under 30ms). Turn the 'Dry' down and 'Wet' up to create a Haas-effect width.
Common mistakes
- Panning everything to the extreme left or right, leaving a hole in the middle.
- Adding too much width to low-frequency sounds like the Kick or Sub-bass.
